The BleuLearn Standard — What Every Page Asks
The Four Questions
Who wrote it? When? What does it say? Why does it matter? Applied to every primary source document in this curriculum. These questions never change. What changes is what you discover by asking them.
Claim — Evidence — Warrant
Every written response requires a claim (a position), evidence (specific quoted words from a primary source), and a warrant (the sentence that explains why the evidence proves the claim). All three parts are required.
The BleuLearn Pause
A single reflective prompt at the end of every practice page. Scholars write one sentence in their own words documenting what they learned. Not a summary — a reflection on what the learning revealed.
Primary Sources Only
Every curriculum reference cites a free, publicly available primary source — a real document from the actual archive. No textbook summaries. "The document says..." is the beginning of evidence in this curriculum.

About AvaBleu Academy

AvaBleu Academy is a K-12 sovereign cooperative school being established in Chesterfield County, Virginia — specifically the Route 1 and South Richmond corridor, which is a documented underserved community with documented need for culturally specific K-12 education.

The school is founded and led by Cassandra D. Harrison (MBA, MPH, active LPN license), with 15+ years of VP and SVP-level operations experience and a documented 100% FDA and EMA inspection record. The school operates under AvaBleu House HQ as a cooperative institution — meaning families are not customers, they are stakeholders with documented governance rights.

The full AvaBleu Academy platform is operational and in pre-enrollment phase. It includes:

What the school is not yet: It does not yet have a confirmed physical site in Chesterfield County. It does not yet have enrolled scholars. It is not yet accredited, though the curriculum is built to Virginia SOL standards with a documented accreditation pathway. These facts are stated directly because families deserve accurate information.

The four Houses:

🌲 House Harriet — BleuHistory & Primary Source Literacy
👑 House Mansa — Financial Architecture & Cooperative Economics
🧭 House Esteban — Six Languages & Geography
⚖️ House Pauli — Civics, Rhetoric & Law

Each House is named for a documented Black historical figure whose life connects directly to that House's curriculum focus. Harriet Tubman. Mansa Musa. Esteban Dorantes — first documented crossing of North America. Pauli Murray — legal architect of the brief that became Brown v. Board of Education.
