Parent and Co-op Facilitator Guide

Grades K-12  |  Aurora Curriculum Pack
How to use Aurora curriculum: Each practice page in this pack uses the same documented methods, primary source standards, and evidence requirements as the full Aurora platform at Aurora Homeschool Academy. These are complete, printable practice pages for home or co-op use. Scholars complete the pages independently; facilitators use the Facilitator Rubric and Answer Guide to review responses. Start with the Scope and Sequence to plan which strands to cover and when. AI tools at Aurora Homeschool Academy (MiMi Tutor, Quiz Generator, Lesson Explainer) connect to every strand.
The Aurora Standard — What Every Practice Page Asks Scholars to Do

Every page in this pack applies one or more of the following documented methods:

  1. The Four Questions: Who wrote it? When? What does it say? Why does it matter? — used to analyze any primary source document
  2. Claim-Evidence-Warrant: Every written response must state a claim, cite specific evidence, and explain the connection
  3. Frayer Model: Vocabulary instruction using definition, characteristics, examples, and non-examples
  4. BleuLearn Pause: A single reflective prompt asking scholars to document what they learned in their own words
